Wow!

I am so nervous and excited. Tomorrow is the last day of exhibition!

So tomorrow, this is the schedule:

So this is the schedule. It looks so busy. Isn't it? I am so nervous and really excited. I didn't say I am worried because all my worries are gone! Remember my last last blog? I said I am worried about greeting them, music piece and eye contact? Well, I am NOT worried about that. You know why. I fixed it!!! Yayyyyy! So this proves that I am ready. Right?

Today, at case time, we did a reflection. 

Mrs. Archie gave us a rubric about writing. It was about our informative/persuasive writing. So what we did was we read our writing and filled out the rubric. It was kind of hard to me because I had to read it 6 times and check one by one. 

Also we printed 70 pamphlets out, front and back, full color. I was really surprised to see how fast we fold the pamphlets. We were so fast. So, this kind of proved the fact that we cooperate well and participate well. We are planning to give this pamphlets out in exhibition this Friday. I hope our parents take them with them. 

Lastly, we have 5~6 days left. I am so excited and sad at the same moment. I wish I was still in grade 5 but I need to take one more step to myself and go to the middle school world. (?)

OMG!!

Today, because I am too tired, I will just write and describe positive/negative things about our first presentation. So I will list the positive things first:

- Participating/Cooperation (We were good at them.)
- Being calm (We didn't go over control!)

I think I don't have anymore.

In conclusion, I think we did a great job and I know that we can improve more next time. So for example, I know that we can improve our music piece. I can just look for the timing and start it. And for greeting them, we can just greet them like 'Hello, welcome to our exhibition presentation' etc.
To me, this result is sounding like we are almost there.

So to briefly tell you  what we did today is getting ready for tomorrow is we set up our room and decided how we are going to move our art piece, chairs, et cetera. We agreed to not put away the desks at all. Also because there was a big gap (TV) between Gender Inequality (Riu, Annie, Suhyun) and us, we decided that they will help us. So I think it will be more easy. I am excited and worried about tomorrow. Because I have so much worries, I wish June 10th comes soon! Then everything will be over and I will have no worries at all!

Reflection

Today will be simple and I am going to use the word, 'reflection'. Now, the reason I am going to use the word 'reflection' is because I am going to do a reflection on this blog! And the format is going to be a interview.

X: Hello, I am from OOO TV program. I heard that you were doing a very important project, Exhibition. Is it real that you practiced today?
Me: Yes. It is true.
X: Can you talk about something you did? Maybe can you also reflect?

Me: Okay. So what happened was that we practiced our presentation and got some feedbacks. I was very nervous and excited. I think that is why our voices weren't clear enough. But, I hope all the audience enjoyed our presentation.

Me: I would say 'Great job!' to K.A.I who did a very good teamwork. It was looking good.

2nd Art

Today, we did only Exhibition.
And that meant to us that we were only going to do art.

So, what happened today is horrible in one word. We were planning to print all of our paper in Exhibition time and glue them all after school, but after we spent all of our Exhibition time and were ready to glue, Mr. C made a surprising announcement. He said that we couldn't do our exhibition after school in the Stem-V. That was like a storm or a hurricane on a sunny day to me. We had a whole one side section blank!!! We called our moms and tried to be calm. But we couldn't because tomorrow was practice day!! That meant everything had to be finished to day.

But finally, we received and email from Mr. C that we could come tomorrow at school and work on Exhibition from 7:00am. It was a relief. So, tomorrow, we are going to come to school early.

Today was one word; tired. We did our art almost all the day.

Today, after school, Yeeun, Heesung, Minnie and I headed to the art class to finish art. The reason was that even though we spent so many times to it, we still couldn't finish it. That is also why I am so tired. Because I am tired so much today, I will just tell you what we did. First, we talked with our moms about what we did and what we have to do. This took a lot of time. Second, we listed things we had to do and things we did. Third, we printed all of those and it took 20 minutes. Fourth, we cut all of them. While we were cutting, our sisters helped us. Fifth, we started to glue. Wow, glueing was so hard. Our moms changed our plans a bit and we glued. While we were glueing, we learned from our moms and kind of did the sixth one. Sixth, we planned what we are going to do tomorrow. So for this, I mean that we need to know what we are doing so we can just cut and glue tomorrow.

It was a hard day. Wasn't it?

The 8th Week!

Anyways, this week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday is our last day to finish PYPX!!! The reason I didn't include Friday is because Friday is our practice presenting day!! We have one, two, three, four days left!! OMG!!! And the real problem is about our art. 

Our art project is like a big hole in a bag. Even though we put  many rocks, the bag it never fills. Like this bag, Even though we spent many times in there, working on our 3D art, it never seems to improve. But I will wait and see because there is no such a thing like no hope.

Phewwwww,

well today, what I did for exhibition was all about art.
It was art, art, art and art for the whole day.

So first, we printed all the word and all letters and cut all of them. I mean all of the papers. It took almost half of our time. And this was not the end. We also had to glue all those paper we cut and and paste them on our wall. For the wall, I am talking about the 3D model. Second, we had to think about our ceiling since it was really important. And finally, we got a solution about how to attach the ceiling and what we are going to do with it. So we planned to attach the ceiling to the wall by putting a wood stick between it and lock(?) it up. And we also planned where we are going to hang the pictures too!

But, the problem is the wall. The problem is that we didn't even finish 50% of our wall! I am thinking to spend my precious(?) lunch recess and morning recess to finish.

What should I do?

We were suppose to receive the survey days ago but we didn't even sent the mail! And, the worst, NLCS is in a break right now for a week. Our moms called each other and finally came a I don't know-middle solution. (word I made up) I don't know really about that so I can't tell or write here right now. Our group is in an emergency!

Now, today in morning recess and lunch recess, Hyeon-ah, Minnie, Yeeun and I sold bookmarks, cards and lemonades. I was worried that people wouldn't come to our stall but thanks to Yeeun who called over teachers and students, there were a lot of students! I think the main part was lunch recess because almost half of the lemonades were sold to grade 3! Also, I was sorry to Grade 4 because they didn't have any money to buy the lemonades. We made a big profit because we earned 93,100 won today! 
  
I think it was a great experience to me where I got to try new things. I wish Hyeon-ah and Minnie do well tomorrow too~

  Today we got some things done! We cleaned our desk for tomorrow. We also took out the surveys and started to look at them. So we are ready for our action now. Yaaaaaaay~! Yeeeees!. 
We are also writing our essays too which makes exhibition harder. We are getting busier but we are getting things done. We are planning to go to KIS and NLCS for the survey too! I am soooooooo excited.

And if yo ask me what is one bad thing, we are running out of time. we only got 2 weeks left!!! Ahhhhhhhh! If I reflect on what we did until now, we always didn't fight and were laughing. (I don't know if this was helpful)
I think we are pretty doing a great job right now too.^^

Hello everyone. Today was great. 

Why? Because our team's Action Assembly was great!

First, my mom and my sister said we looked nice and clean. And also, we didn't have any mistakes and it seemed like the audience all enjoyed it. So if you tell me to describe today's feeling, I would say 'Great'.
Second, I enjoyed the assembly, (I don't know why?) I felt happy when the audience clapped. (I am not boasting)  
Third, I felt relaxed when I was finished. I felt ' Wow! I finished! Now I don't need to worry about this anymore. This is finished so I need to work on my writing...' I think I also felt now, I don't need to care about this. Ever never. 

I wish I learned a lot from this experience that teamworks are awesome.

By the way, does anyone know what's special about tomorrow?
Well, tomorrow is our action assembly! That was why our team was busy. We had to write scripts, organize props, time our presentation, and practice.

In our practice today, Mr. Cavanagh said it was great that we were keeping our time and making it interesting etc. That was really reassuring me. So we are planning to keep our plan steady and clear. We also had some suggestion from Mrs. Archie. She said maybe on the back of our script, we could write in bullet points. So we need to now think of that idea too. I am very excited to do the assembly tomorrow!

Action assembly is a assembly where we talk about our groups and about our action. Each team made a slide in our Assembly Slide. We have 3 minutes to present our action.
I think it's a great learning chance for me because I could reflect what I was doing in exhibition and practice how to present things.

Today is slightly different from yesterday's.

  Q: What was the most interactive/entertaining presentation, assembly, or lesson for you?
  A: My most interactive assembly was when last year or the last last year, G5 sang and did a performance in the assembly and it was so fun.
  Q: Why was it entertaining?
  A: It was entertaining because they acted out the stories, sang a funny song about the topic and did a pop quiz with us. Oh! And also a game.
  Q: What part was your best part?
  A: When they sang a song, they acted the song, sang the song and danced. So it was easy to understand and the lyrics of the song was so entertaining.

Yayyy! Finally a task!

Phew. 

The first thing I am going to reflect is field trip. This is my WORST and HORRIBLE and MOST WORRIED problem. We thought of going field trip twice but we didn't have time... So we are right now working on it hard. (At least I do work hard) 

The second thing is presenting. Last year, when G5&G6 presented, I had thoughts like 'Why are their voice to quiet?', 'Why I can't they speak louder?' etc. So I want to speak clearly and loudly not like them. And this lets me so excited with thought 'Will I do well?'.

Third, I want to know more about Action Assembly. I want to know how it will continue, specifically what we do etc. I think I am not ready for Action Assembly right now. I wish I can gather more information.

To me, I think our group is doing ver well if we can do somethings a bit faster.

Well, today you are going to be a bit bored because I am bored. Well the topic is going to be 'Art'

Done. Now in art, we made a model of our 3D design. Our team was in a great trouble because we couldn't make our design because it used so many materials. So we quickly made another plan. And the best part for me was when Mr. Hammond said it was perfect! He said it could stand by itself, it was a great idea, we used the space well and that it looked fun! YAYYYYYYYYY!!!!

Well, our team GenEquality did 56% of all the work. But I think we need to hurry because we have o time left if we don't focus. You see, last year, they had 2~3 months but this time, we have only 1 month so...

No, that was just a joke. Come and listen. Well today, I am going to tell you about our conference.

Today we discussed about Student Led Conference on tomorrow morning. Student Led Conference is a meeting that students lead the conference themselves. Tomorrow Student Led Conference is going to be a great time to explain to our parents what we have done so far in Exhibition. I think tomorrow's conference is going to be unique because I am having the half of the conference with my PYPX group Yeeun.

Do you remember this?

Well it was our blob tree!

When I did this last time, I said that Yeeun and I were like the blobs at the bottom helping each other. But it will be different today because we worked hard. And today, I want to see this tree not as a tree but as a process.

I think Yeeun and I are the two blobs putting their hand on each other's shoulders. The reason is that I think that we are still on our way to exhibition and we are half way to presenting. Also, we had no fight yet and we are going very well.

I want us to be honest and enthusiastic about PYPX all the time until when we reach the top.

We need to hurry up!

Today, I had a huge surprise. I bet it is nothing to you but it is something to me. Well, I will tell you about it. And for a little hint, I think today's blog is going to be like a story telling. 

It was just the same as the day before, when it was time for MA to start Exhibition. I heard Mrs. Archie telling us to sit down on the carpet. She started telling us in the next few weeks we got lots of stuff to complete. I will tell you the 'things'.

We need to do page 21 in the Exhibition booklet by this Friday and it is about taking actions. We also need to finish researching by May 20th. And June 3rd is the last day of field trips. And the most exciting thing is presenting which is on June 10th.
  

Right now, I am so worried! 9 weeks sounded so so far away but actually, it was not! We got less than 5 weeks to complete our Exhibition projects, which is very horrible and horrible (!!!). I think am excited about presenting our Exhibition project but, I think I'm still nervous.

Well, I have to answer a question.

The question is 'What goals do you have for your action? What do you hope will be the end result of your action? What is your goal to make your action sustainable?'

Well, my goal for the action is to change a little bit of people's beliefs that woman and man are different and they have to be treated differently. So we (GenEquality) are going to visit a school and teach a class about Gender Inequality. I hope that we (I) could change some people's beliefs during my action.

What do you think? Do you agree with his blog? I agree with this blog. Note taking is important because we can memorize informations correctly and perfectly without losing any information. If we don't, we are going to lose some informations and we won't know things clearly. Or in the bad situations, we might lose all the information just because we forgot to take notes.

Attitude & Learner profile

Well today, it is not going to be boring. I promise.

Okay. So for today's blog, I need to choose a IB profile and explain with detail about how I used them today. 

And then, I have to choose a different attitude or a learner profile and explain how I would like to use it during this week of PYPX.

I think I used the IB learner profile communicating today because I had a lot (kind of) of discussions with Yeeun (who is my exhibition group member). We had to discuss with Ms. Clark, (who is our Mentor), discuss about our action and discuss when we were thinking of ideas in art class. Also, I had to listen to Mrs. Archie and all the teachers.

For the rest of the week however, I would like to be a reflective person who thinks about what they did in the past and makes something(?) better. I am not very good at reflecting so this one of my reason too.
