A girl who I admire for her inner beauty

Four fingers, no legs. But everyone who meet her says like this. "She is a beautiful person", "She is really lovely". Do you know who she is? I am going to introduce you pianist Hi-ah Lee.

Hi-ah was born with two fingers on each hand. And she had a thin leg. But when she was three, she had to cut her legs. Piano, which was started to help her grow strength to hold pencil looked like it was not a good choice. Her teacher said she had no talents on playing piano. But Hi-ah's mom thought that she had to play piano. And this is the reason why she start to play piano. The simple song people could play within 1 hour was a song that she needed 10 hours to practice. After a year and another year...  Like this, 10 years went. And her non-stoping practice made Hi-ah Lee the pianist.

Once, she said "I want to be a person who plants hope to other people like Helen Keller." She always helps people and does a lot of helping service. She gives people message that says 'I have only four fingers and I can do it. You can also do it. We can all do it.' with her music. Her messages make people who meet her don't think about her outside beauty. The only thing they can think about her after meeting, is her beauty inside her mind.

Coming Sunday this week (2/28), she is doing her concert in Jeju. I wish I meet Hi-ah on this this Sunday at her concert.

Being critical with headlines

In class, we are learning about how to be critical to headlines. So today, I am going to judge (critique) a headline called '132 SUPER-CUTE OUTFIT IDEAS FROM KENDALL AND KYLIE JENNER'.             If you just read the headline, you will probably like ' Yeah, this is just a normal headline.' But if you read it carefully and go in to the site, it will not be always true. The problem I am going to judge about is the headline. '132 Super Cute Outfit...' The headline starts like this. So you might think that it is actually cute just by looking at the headline but when you go into the site, not everyone may think so. Some people could say those outfits are not cute but have another opinion. Some may think they are strange. Others may think they are cute. That means there are many different perspectives.

So in conclusion, the 'Super Cute Outfit' part is not true because there are many perspectives and this headline is just showing just one perspective out of all the others.

The proudest moment in my life.

Sometimes, people say "Wow! Your good at violin!" or "Congratulation for being in the first chair of orchestra" and even the younger students say "Hey do you know? She is the top of orchestra!"  to me. When I hear this, I feel proud but not because of hearing these things but what it reminds me when I tried and tried hard to listen these from others and reach my goal.

I started my violin late in Grade 2 at November. The friends that were near me and where classmates with me were already doing violin and they were good. So I practiced for 2 years (2 year is 730 days.) everyday not resting.
In those days, sometimes, I hurt my neck because I was practicing much. My violin teacher brought my violin from a professional violin master with a fabric around it so I would not hurt my neck again. Healing that took almost 3 months. Also, I got scolded by my mom and sometimes had a one-to-one talking with Ms. Lau (Our last music teacher) about my beats in orchestra.
Because of these problems, I really eagerly wanted to do other instruments like piano. But, I didn't give up. And I always brought my violin everywhere when I traveled like Seoul, Canada, Japan, Vietnam etc.

These efforts made me in orchestra, get good grades in violin contests or competitions and reach my goal. Now, I think I know how much I need my effort to reach my goal or do what I had dreamed of. So I am more confident at things because I know I can reach my goal in other things if I try hard.

* I am not boasting but it is really proud to me.
